Dr. Nicole Hoellerer has presented a paper at the 3rd Conference of the German Network of Forced Migration Researchers. The virtual conference (17-19 September 2019) with the theme “Contexts of Displacement, Refugee Protection and Forced Migrants’ Lives” was hosted by the German Network of Forced Migration Researchers and the BMBF-funded joint project Forced Migration and Refugee Studies: Networking and Knowledge Transfer (FFVT), and organised by the Chair of Youth Welfare and Social Work at the University of Cologne (Germany). The conference brought together researchers and professionals from across the world to discuss the most pressing issues in migration and migration research.
ASYFAIR had the opportunity to present a paper with the heading “Judges’ Credibility Questions: Credibility Questions in Religious Conversion Asylum Court Cases in Germany” in the panel Negotiating Criteria of Refugee Admission, chaired by Yasemin Bekyol (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg).
The presentation is based on a paper the ASYFAIR team is currently working on (see Publications in the future).
