Dr. Nicole Hoellerer has presented a paper at the 18th IMISCOE Annual Conference ‘ Crossing borders, Connecting cultures’. The virtual event (7 – 9 July) was hosted by the University of Luxembourg.
We had the opportunity to present our work under the heading “Exploring inconsistencies in asylum adjudication in Europe” in the panel The making of procedural (in-)justice in asylum claim-making, determination and reception, chaired by Dr. Zeynep Yanasmayan (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin) and Dr. Sophie Andreetta (Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology).
The abstract is available on the IMISCOE conference website.
Prof. Nick Gill was also a discussant in the panel Co-construction and reification of narratives during asylum determination procedures, chaired by Livia Johannesson and Daniel Hedlund.
We have also presented other work at the 15th IMISCOE Annual Conference (Barcelona, 2018), see here.
